A Leica Macro Adapter for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K
So all those “experts “ who say a 55mm becomes an 85mm on apsc were all full of crap?
Hello, I have a FUJI STX-2 model camera with an X-FUJINON mount and some PK (Pentax) manual lenses, what mount should I buy to adapt the Pentax lens to my old Fuji? Thanks
That’s actually really cool! I wonder if you could get a person to hold still enough to do one of those 😅
We've actually tried it and as long as you center the model's face in one of the four frames, it works pretty well: fotodioxpro.com/blogs/news/dont-move
I am unable to change the aperture… any idea how to do it? In the settings menu, the aperture setting is grayed out and j can’t access it..
What lens are you using?
Nikon v2 pake lensa nikon afs dx bisa pake apdapter apa
You'll need our Nikon G to Nikon 1 adapter: fotodioxpro.com/products/nkg-nk1
Is there anything that’s supposed to be changed in the settings in order to shoot these nikon lenses on eos body? I’m doing this on a Eos-1N body but when I try taking a pic I get the BC error code 🥲
I wish a company would make a grip with a very thin base and one that doesn’t have gaps along the outside of the grip (such as the one at the front of yours)… the ZF is such a nice looking camera and every grip I’ve seen wrecks the aesthetics by making it too bulky and heavy and breaking up the clean lines. I realize that concessions need to be made for tripod users, but I and many photogs I know rarely, if ever, use a tripod anymore… especially with a camera like the ZF, which is used as a more of an EDC camera by users.
I use the Hasselblad 907x, how will this system work with it?
It works very similarly to the way we show in this video. You'll just have to turn on the electric shutter. Here's a reel we made featuring the RhinoCam on a 907x: ruclips.net/user/shortsjYGIx5LtThI
Amazing 😍
i feel usless😢
Can you recommend a lens for a Canon EOS R100! Want to shoot architecture and some people as well, so one or two lenses that work well with your adapter would be awesome!
Wish all adaptor are this thin
That would be cool, but the main reason they're not is because of focal flange distance. Most older lenses have a longer focal flange distance than mirrorless lenses do, so they require longer adapters to focus to infinity.
I have this exact lens and I'm trying to use it on a canon full frame but I see no vignette and its acting like a macro lens. Its impossible to focus. any suggestions?
Unfortunately C-mount lenses have a shorter focal flange distance than DSLR cameras like Canon EF cameras. So when you adapt them to DSLRs they'll only be able to macro focus. To get infinity focus you'll need to adapt this lens to a mirrorless camera.
Great ! Do you make GFX macro extension tubes without any electronic inside ? As an empty macro tube with GFX mounts ? It could be great when adapting lenses (because we don't need the electronics). Thanks !
We do not at this time. The reason we only make electronic macro tubes for Fuji GFX is because all Fuji GFX lenses require electronic communication to fire their built-in leaf shutters. I suppose we could make manual macro tubes for any third party GFX lenses that are fully manual. Do you have any of those?
@@FotodioxInc , yes that could be great ! I only use manual lenses on GFX, so I never need any electronic communication. "You may think I'm a dreamer... but I'm not the only one". :-))
looks great. Any UK suppliers please?
Ty so much! I did it but with a lens hood, cardboard and alluminium foil and it is great!
Nice!
Great adapter but I really don’t see the reason to stitch panoramic images with a 50-100mp camera… just use the right lens, its resolution is high enough for wall sized prints
This is an adapter for capturing more of the image circle of an adapted vintage lens. It rotates so you can capture more of the lens's image circle and create a square image closer to the kind of image you could capture with this lens on a 6x6 medium format film camera. It's for people who want to capture more of the image circle of their vintage lenses, it's not really designed for more resolution or for replacing other stitched panorama methods.
30 dollars for this toy is insane, this exact same model is usually sold at 10$ or so with the waterproof case and sometimes with a roll of film
Still a nice camera for the price in my opinion, if you can find it for less than 10 dollars
You're right! They sell this exact camera at Dollar Stores for like $5! :) At the time, I was more interested in the fact that you could pick it up as a store rather than buy it online. I actually made a review video of the same camera but bought from Five Below instead: ruclips.net/video/kre4kUl1AMc/видео.html
That is pretty cool
the medium format at home does it actually match the medium format size when you rotate it? if yes that’s actually pretty cool
Yes, with our RhinoCam's for Medium Format Digital cameras, you do get a stitched image about the size of what you would get with this lens on a 6x6 medium format film camera. Here's a vide we made for reference: ruclips.net/video/PKG9gVJ93Ck/видео.htmlsi=URlJzqjdInzEU3Qt&t=574
i like
On a Fuji Film camera what is the mount required for?
If you're referring to our PRONTO adapter for Fujifilm X-mount cameras, it has a Leica M lens mount, but you can also use these lens mounts with different kits: Alpa 35, Contax/Yashica, Kodak Retina, Leica R, M39, M42, Minolta MD, Nikon F, Olympus OM, Pentax K, T-mount and Voightlander Nokton and Ultron. The Fuji X PRONTO is currently out of stock, but you can sign up to be notified when we get more in: fotodioxpro.com/products/lm-fx-prn
Awesome Sean. Is there a modern version to share lens CPU data of a Nikon AF-D to EOS body, 5D Mk II?
Not at this time.
Still a ridiculous lens when you can just do a simple row panorama and stitch it together. Kind of a product searching for a non extant problem.
This adapter is about capturing more of the image circle of an adapted medium format lens. It's like turning your digital camera into a digital medium format back for a medium format lens. If you don't want that, no problem, don't buy it. But don't redefine our product as an overly complicated panorama stitcher and then say there's an easier way to do it. We know there's an easier way to do it, and this product is not designed to replace that easier way. It's instead designed for capturing more of the image circle of a medium format lens.
would love to watch this and listen but the music is diabolical with the clappy clicky thing.
The music changes at 1:03 to something less obnoxious and bit more chill :)
how do i zoom in while using manual focus?
I don;'t believe you can zoom in to focus with this camera, but you can enable focus peaking. This video shows how to set that up: ruclips.net/video/XWRduXI-LJ8/видео.html
You guys are so cool! I ordered an em10mk3 wooden grip from you guys off Amazon last night:) well technically last night- I haven’t gone to sleep yet.
Enjoy! :)
For nature photography have many artefacts.
For sure.
how does this grip compare to the em10mk3 grip you guys sell? is it as pretty?
It's similar. The wood grip has a slightly different carve to it.
Will it work for sports
As long as you're shooting at a narrower aperture auto focus should be about the same speed as without this doubler.
stupidest thing I've ever seen as there are so many other ways to make a stitched pano without the cost
This is an adapter for vintage medium format lenses. In this quick demo we're rotating the camera's sensor around the vertex of an adapted vintage Hassy lens, capturing more of the lens's image circle. We have never claimed that RhinoCam Vertex is a replacement for other easier stitching methods. This is an adapter for capturing more of the image circle of an adapted vintage lens. It rotates so you can capture more of the lens's image circle and create a square image closer to the kind of image you could capture with this lens on a 6x6 medium format film camera. It's for people who want to capture more of the image circle of their vintage lenses.
So this would work with my : - AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.4 D - AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm1:4 G ED NANO (like in your video) - AF-S MICRO Nikkor 105mm 1:2.8 G ED NANO - SIGMA 15-30mm 1:3.5-4.5 EX DG - AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm 1:5.6 ED VR on a LUMIX GH7 ?? If i don't care about the shifting and tilting.
Yes, you should have manual aperture and manual focus control with all of those lenses on this adapter, and you will get a lot of shifting and tilting, you'll just be limited in how far you can rotate the tilt or shift based on the fact that the tilt locking screw bumps into the GH7's top prism like it does with the GH4 in this video.
Can you suggest the best adapter to use sigma 150-600 nikon f mount lens with sony 7R3 e mount without loosing any capability of sony features? Auto focus on videos too? Please suggest me the proper one.. I am surfing through a lot and still could not fix with one..
Unfortunately there's no adapter that exists that will give you the kind of performance you're looking for. We used to sell a Nikon to Sony E auto adapter, but we discontinued it. It did give you aperture and auto focus control, but the auto focus wasn't great in video mode, and this was due to the older Nikon lens having speed issues communicating with the Sony E camera. For the kind of performance you're looking for, I'd recommend selling your Nikon lens and buying a Sony E lens.
@@FotodioxInc oh okay.. thank you
very cool!
Ill be hoping that at some point, you may decide to build a zoom adapter, to manually scale the image on the sensor up and down without having to crop. It would be like projecting a film onto screen and resizing it to fit the screen and refocusing to get it sharp. If that's ever possible, we could then have fun adapting any lens on any camera and get the whole picture on full sensor and it would also mean that we can decrease size to actually get the vignette, to get what the lens is actually getting, which would work in some photography styles, especially on wide and fisheye lenses. It also resolves the vignette issue when you add a hood, you can just zoom in from the adapter, instead of in camera.
We kind of have adapters like that. All of our DLX Stretch adapters enlarge an adapted lens’s image circle on the camera’s sensor by moving the lens farther from the sensor, but by doing that, they also cause the lens to lose infinity focus and become a macro focus only lens. So you can enlarge the image circle, but maintaining infinity focus would require further optics that would unfortunately have to be custom made for every kind of lens.
@@FotodioxInc wow i could try one
Great and very useful gear..!’ ❤❤ Thank you for doing this ❤❤
Great design using rear screw in filters. Is there enough clearance to easily remove the rear filter? Looks kind of challenging to rotate the filter out without touching the filter glass.
It is pretty set in there. We recommend using a lens cloth to remove a filter.
Thanks! That was useful.
Yeah, that’s the button part, what’s the adapter part? V lenses? H lenses?
This video is for using any kind of lens adapter with the X1D, but that adapter you see at the beginning is our Hasselblad V to Hasselblad XCD RhinoCam Vertex Stitching adapter. The full video for that adapter is coming soon.
When your Camera Gear costs as much as a Car
Depends. You can get older Hassy used XCD cameras for around $2300
I need E to EF adapter.
Do you mean an adapter to mount a Sony E lens on a Canon EF camera? If so, unfortunately we're unable to make an adapter like that due to focal flange distance limitations. We do make an adapter to mount a Canon EF lens to a Sony E camera, but not the other way around.
Y the f i feel its not straight and properly aligned
According to a recent comment on this video, if you order the Holga 135HC now, it does have a half-frame film gate rather than the full frame gate I show in this video. I'll make a follow up video once I can confirm this.
I had one in 1997. It disappeared sometime in 1998 I’m so tempted to buy one on eBay for nostalgia reasons. Then I had a color one (by some other brand) in 2000…broke in 2001. I was very bad with cameras as a kid.
We all broke stuff when we were kids :) These toy cameras are a fun and unique way to shoot lo-fi video these days, and not many people seem to know about them.
Do you have dealers in australia?
